Dear Dealers,
This is written to notify you that the manufacturer, General Rubber (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (“General Rubber”), has determined that Xcellent Roadbreaker A/T tires, size LT305/65R17 with Tire Identification Number ending in “4324” (the manufacturing production week) fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 139 (New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles)(hereinafter “Recalled Tire”) and is therefore, recalling them.
What is the Noncompliance?
Due to an isolated issue during the manufacturing process, Recalled Tire may experience separation of inner liner and cracking in the tread, which may cause decrease in tire pressure and vehicle crash without prior warning.

What Should You Do?
We request that you stop sale of the Recalled Tires immediately, isolate any inventory you may have of the Recalled Tires, and notify the distributor below to pick up the inventory:

End Consumers
We will begin notifying end consumers that have been identified as having purchased a Recalled Tire. These end consumers will be directed to contact the dealer where they purchased their tires to return the Recalled Tire and request a full refund.
In case you are contacted, we request your assistance in verifying that the tire is included in this program and removing, replacing, and returning all identified Recalled Tires.
We request that dealers research their sales records for end consumers who may have purchased one of the Recalled Tires.
If end consumers are identified, call the distributor at (214) 299-9572 with the following consumer information:
- End consumer name, address, and phone number.
- Quantity of Recalled Tires sold to that end consumer.
- Tire name, size, Full DOT serial number.
- Date of tire(s) sale.
We will then notify these end consumers with the program information.
Recall Remedy
We will send safety recall notices to owners of the Recalled Tires, to the extent we have their contact information. Owners will receive a full refund for the purchase price upon presenting the purchase receipt and the Recalled Tire either at the distributor, or at your shop.
Accordingly, when an owner requests for a full refund for the Recalled Tires, please do the following:
- Inspect the tire to verify that it is a Recalled Tire;
- Inspect the purchase receipt to verify that it was purchased at your shop;
- Remove the Recalled Tire;
- Provide a full refund of the purchase price shown on the purchase receipt;
- Contact the distributor to obtain credit for the refund and to return the Recalled Tire.
Previously Replaced Tires
In case the consumer has already replaced a tire that is included in this program and is seeking reimbursement, you may ask them to contact the distributor at (214) 299-9572 for assistance.
Tire Return and Disposal
It is a violation of Federal law for a dealer to deliver or sell a Recalled Tire covered by this safety recall notification under a sale or lease. Therefore, please contact the distributor upon the return of a Recalled Tire and the distributor will come to your shop to pick up the Recalled Tire.
